Since 1991, CFI Formation has been training students in Clermont-Ferrand for the jobs that actually exist — business, marketing, tourism, human resources, management. An independent college, on a campus of 2,500 m² built for people rather than numbers.

Ask us a question →Not for the France Immersion Programme. Every class is taught in English, and we run survival-French sessions during the month on campus. Our degree programmes are a different matter: they are delivered in French, under the French work-study system, and require a solid command of the language.

It is a certificate awarded by the college itself, not a French state diploma. A BTS or a Licence is awarded by the French State after two to three years of study in French, with national examinations — no twelve-week programme anywhere delivers one, and any school that tells you otherwise is selling you something else. What this certificate does is give your own university everything it needs to convert the programme into credit, and how much credit is agreed with them before the cohort opens.
The fee is agreed with each partner university, because it depends on the size of the cohort and on the calendar. Write to us and you will have it in writing within three working days, together with the full list of what it covers — which is the part that actually varies between programmes.
It is a single fee covering tuition, insurance, the cultural and company programme and all on-site support. Accommodation and local transport are an option at €680 for the four weeks. International airfare and visa fees are not included. Beyond the fee, budget around €1,600 for the whole trip before personal spending — the Fees & Funding page breaks that figure down line by line.
A four-week stay falls under the Schengen short-stay regime — a short-stay visa for study purposes, valid up to 90 days in any 180-day period. It is considerably simpler and faster than a long-stay student visa, and it does not require the Campus France Études en France procedure.
CFI Formation issues your enrolment certificate and your insurance certificate — and, if you take the accommodation option, your proof of accommodation. You lodge the application yourself at the French visa application centre in India, and we ask your university for a letter confirming your student status. We cannot promise an outcome — no school can — but we give you a complete file. Appointment slots are scarce in peak season, so cohorts are confirmed at least ten weeks before departure.
Accommodation is not included in the programme fee, and you have two ways to handle it. Either you book it yourself — we point you to the student residences we know in Clermont-Ferrand — or you take our accommodation option: we arrange the room and add it to your invoice, at €680 for the four weeks. That covers a furnished room of your own with a kitchen area — a studio, or a private bedroom in a shared flat, depending on the size of the cohort — with water, electricity and internet included in the rent, plus your local transport pass for the whole stay.
The option is worth considering for one reason beyond convenience: it comes with a proof of accommodation, which makes your visa file considerably simpler. Without it, you have to justify a higher level of personal funds.
On campus there is no university canteen. Chez Colette is where you eat and work between classes, and the city centre is a few minutes away.
Students in the second half of a Bachelor programme, or in the first year of a Master — in any discipline. Engineering, business, media, communication and others sit in the same cohort, and the programme is built that way on purpose: it teaches how European business works rather than one specialism.
A cohort is never more than twenty-five students, with around fifteen in a classroom, and may bring together more than one partner university. You apply through your home university when it is one of our partners, or directly to us when it is not.
